The School Houses at El Alsson School are an integral part of our community and provide students with a unique opportunity to engage in friendly competition, teamwork, and leadership development. Our House system fosters a sense of belonging, school spirit, and camaraderie among our students.
Upon joining El Alsson School, each student is assigned to one of our School Houses.
The School Houses serve as a platform for students to showcase their talents, develop leadership skills, and participate in a range of inter-house competitions, events, and activities. These activities promote healthy competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork, while also creating a sense of unity and pride within each house.
Throughout the academic year, students engage in various house-based events, including sports tournaments, academic quizzes, performing arts showcases, community service projects, and more. These events provide opportunities for students from different grade levels to collaborate, support one another, and demonstrate their skills and abilities.
The School Houses also play a role in promoting school-wide initiatives, such as fundraising campaigns, charity drives, and school spirit activities. House members work together to organize and participate in these events, fostering a sense of responsibility, organization, and community engagement.
Beyond the competitive aspect, the School Houses provide a platform for students to develop leadership skills and take on roles of responsibility. Each house has student-elected House Captains and Vice Captains who serve as ambassadors, motivators, and role models for their fellow house members. They play a vital role in organizing house activities, representing their house in school events, and fostering a sense of unity and pride.
The School Houses at El Alsson School create an environment where students can build lifelong friendships, develop leadership qualities, and contribute to the vibrant school community. Embracing the values of teamwork, resilience, and respect, our School Houses instill a sense of belonging and school spirit that extends beyond the academic realm.
